"Same's true now, just in the other direction," Natasha points out, sounding amused. Instead of drinking a little bit now and getting wasted, he can just drink an enormous amount and not even blink. She really ought to get one of them to come with her the next time she has to go undercover in a criminal outfit. Having someone in her corner that can effortless out-drink every Tom, Dick and Ivan would be really handy.
Taking another sip of her own drink, she leans over so she can let the glass rest on the table. As she straightens up, she watches Liho lead the other cat into the living room with them, apparently intent on showing off her preferred patch of sun. Cute. She's glad they're getting along. Though she's not sure either her or Bucky would make ideal cat sitting candidates, it'll be nice to let the two felines spend some time together. On some level she has to acknowledge it's nice to have an excuse to spend time with Bucky too.
She pulls her phone out so she can send off a quick text to Val, her eyes on the screen as she comments, "you know, I did say to sit somewhere you're comfortable. I won't be offended if you have to move somewhere else for that." Her voice is low and even, and she spares him a quick glance and a half smile as she tosses the phone onto the cushion between them once the text is sent. It's clear that his discomfort didn't escape her notice, but she's not making a big deal out if it - she just wants it to be clear that he doesn't have to behave a particular way to be here.
Nor does she expect him to comment on the offer, because she goes on to the topic of the books before he has to come up with a reply. "Bond would make a terrible spy in real life. But the stories are interesting because he obviously really knew what he was talking about despite that."
