"Y'know what, depending on the day maybe you are." He answers back in a quick way, a smirk tugging at his lips as he decides to volley back a little at her, thanks to the playful way she said it. He wasn't saying that at all, but he also wasn't currently sat on Steve's floor ready to watch a movie, either. Now that they've opened the door to him actually hanging out with her like this alone, it means when their schedules align and if he feels up to it, he might seek her company out instead of Steve or Sam's.

And in spending time together more like this, it'll give them more of that time to circle each other, since he thinks he needs more time to figure these things out these days. Even if Natasha counted as someone he worked with and felt a camaraderie with because of their shared friends, it wasn't the same as what his relationships with Steve and Sam were like.

A flicker of amusement of his own follows after seeing the containers trying to escape out of the bag - he wonders now why they didn't just put some of the containers in another bag, the damn thing looks like it's ready to break - while quickly getting up and moving to help her with the bag so it can be settled onto the coffee table since he assumes they're not moving from the couch for this. He can at least help her get some of the containers unpacked as he takes in the amount of food she ordered.
